VEJER: THE ARAB ESSENCE

CLIFFS OF LA BREÑA
This tour is very varied: first we will ride through some tracks and once inside the nature park we will take some trails (single tracks). Enjoy riding offroad through a nature park! This is an spectacular area due to its views and landscapes. The mountain bike allows us to reach protected areas where no motor vehicle can access. We will have the chance to observe the extraordinary cliffs and even the African continent across the strait.

BULLS AND LIVESTOCK
One of the symbols of Spanish culture is undoubtedly the brave bull. This bike tour will take you to contemplate these impresive animals just metres away.

CREEKS AND WILD BEACHES
This is a one-day tour, ideal for relaxing. We will walk through the coves and wild beaches of the area and even if the weather and tide permit, we will ride along the sea shore for several kilometers.

Day 1.
Meet up at the airport or train station. Transfer to the villa in Vejer.

Day 2.
Cliffs of La Breña (A) 30km / 3-4 hours: We leave Vejer at 9am riding our bikes heading south. We will ride dow the hill enjoying the views of El Palmar beach in the distance and impresive windmills. We continue our bike ride heading the Natural Park of La Breña. From this point onwards, we will ride crossing the park heading the Tajo Tower, where we will have a “Happy Kodak Moment”. We will make a brief pause to hydrate and we will continue riding heading the Tower of Mecca. From this point we will have spectacular views of Trafalgar Lighthouse and the enclave where one of the greatest naval battles of history took place.

Day 3.
Bullfighting Bulls and Wild Cattle (A) 40km / 3-3,5 hours: We will leave Vejer in the morning and after riding down the hill for some minutes, we will take a narrow road until we get to the impressive Roman aqueduct of Santa Lucia. We will watch several pools after riding through secondary roads. We will access a path that will take us to the dam and from where we will start seeing fighting bulls. Depending on the season you can also see hares, pheasants, partridges … On our way back to the village we will surround the reserve of Montenmedio from where we will see stunning views of Vejer.

Creeks and wild beaches (A) 45-50km / 4 hours: In the morning we will ride through secondary roads and tracks heading the neighboring village of Conil. We will head to the coast to observe the wonderful coves and small beaches under the cliffs. We will be bordering some time those cliffs until we get to Conil, a beautiful fishing village. We will make a stop in a charming place to have something to drink. After and depending on the season, we ride along the beach of Conil cycling several kilometers along the shore heading the beach of El Palmar. The last part of this tour will take us to the Natural Park of the Breña, before we get back to Vejer.
