Our road cycling tour starts heading the village of Medina Sidonia (27.5km) passing through the hamlet of Navero Enjoying the beautiful views of the Grullo farm and the fighting bulls of Núñez del Cubillo. Enjoy unique views sorrounded by the beautiful bulls in their natural habitat.
Before we get to Medina Sidonia, we will climb a small hill (2km). Once in this beautiful village, we will wander thorugh its beautiful streets and squares (declared Historic Artistic set).
Our next stage will take us downhill heading Paterna. We will pass by the famous Factory of Artisan Polvorones “Aromas de Medina”. Medina was the capital of the Andalusí world where excellent sweets and alfajores were made.
Our next road cycling route takes us 10km to cross the town of Paterna de Rivera, located in the region of La Janda, and part of the Ruta del Toro. It is an eminently agricultural and livestock municipality. This place is very popular for being one of the places where the fighting bull is raised. This is the town that gave origin to the flamenco stick called “Petenero”.
Our road cycling tour leads us during about 17.8km until we get to the town of San José del Valle. The origins of this town go back to the time of Al-Andalus.
The next stage takes us with our road bikes another 22.3km towards Algar town. This town is part of the Route of the White Villages. We will take our bikes to pass next to the river Majaceite and by the bridge that crosses the bay of Hurones, one of the main water suppliers of Cadiz.
Our road cycling tour finishes with a 23km route in the way to Arcos de la Frontera. This town is the most populous municipality of the region of Sierra de Cadiz and also the most extensive. Arcos is an important place for inland tourism and regional industry. The town has a strategic position between the Jerezana Countryside and the Serrania. It also has a rich past, having been the capital of Taifa de Arcos in the Muslim era. We will end the day visiting its impressive viewpoints.
This road cycling tour has a distance of about 78 or 100km. and is made in approximately 4.5-6.5 hours with some stops.
The difficulty will depend on how fit you are. We can choose different routes to reach the points described above.
