VILLAGES OF LA JANDA AND FIGHTING BULLS

One of the symbols of Spanish culture is undoubtedly the Toro bravo (Fighting Bull). In this road cycling tour we can contemplate these impressive and majestic animals only a few meters away.

Our tours starts heading to Benalup Casas Viejas (19.3km.) We pass through the districts of Librero and Cantarrana, highlighting Las Vegas de Arroz and the wildness of Lomas estate. Get ready to see as many pheasants, rabbits, partridges, roe deer, etc.

We pass by the town of Benalup Casas Viejas. This town is located on the Ruta del Toro and it is famous for the tragic event that happened in Casas Viejas during the Second Spanish Republic.

We continue our road cycling tour 20.5km until we arrive to Medina Sidoni. During our bike tour we will pass through the hamlet of Los Badalejos-San José del Malcocinado, privileged by its location near the mountains and the coast. The town of Medina Sidonia is located in the center of the province of Cadiz, at an attitude of 330m and is declared as Historic-Artistic Set.

Our next road cycling tour stage takes us to to Chiclana (22.10km). This town belongs to the Bay of Cadiz. Admire its pristine beaches and the magnificent golf courses in the area of ​​Santi Petri.

After 21.10km we will pass through the hamlet of Pago del Humo, highlighting the very quiet and winding roads. Enjoy this wild and pure countryside. Take your time to observe one of the most important bullfighting farms in Spain (Nuñez del Cuvillo) in the Grullo estate. This farm belongs to Vejer de la Frontera. We can admire and enjoy watching fighting bulls a few meters away. The last 14.4km will take us back to the starting point.

Depending on the level of the group and how fit they are, we can make an alternative road cycling route (71.8km), crossing Medina Sidonia directly to Los Naveros.

This tour has a distance of about 97-72km. and can be made in about 4-6 hours with some stops.

The difficulty will depend on how fit you are. We can choose different routes to reach the points described above.
